This week, we had the pleasure of interviewing our Chief Revenue Office – Almir Hajsarpasic. On an everyday basis, Almir works in our office in Hamburg, Germany. Read below what he had to tell us about his motivations, achievements and experiences.
- Can you briefly introduce yourself and your current role & responsibilities?
I joined Webgains in May this year as Chief Revenue Officer. I lead our global Sales & Business Development teams, welcoming new Advertisers to our Webgains family and making sure we are achieving common revenue goals and targets.
- What gets you out of bed in the morning?
It all starts with alarms on two iPhones making sure I get up. My daily motivation is super clear: the best way to prepare a bright tomorrow is to do your best today
- What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
Seriously, there was no typical day since I have started. Having offices in UK, Germany, Spain, France and US means I have to travel a lot to support our diverse local teams. Currently, I am working on various local and global projects, like growing our sales and business development teams, developing a new international sales strategy, coordinating RFPs. Trust me, the list is super long!
- What has been your experience at working at Webgains so far?
I am super happy at Webgains, our Team is just amazing! The team gave me a very warm welcome, from interns to the CEO, everyone is super friendly and supportive. And looking at our journey the last couple of months with so many things going on, re-branded website, brand new platform and the new Webgains Academy and more to come, I know we are heading in the right direction.
- How did you get into digital marketing?
It was more by “accident” than a fixed plan. I have studied economics and social science with the main focus on technology and innovations management. Joining an online start-up business 12y ago was my start in the online world; I could never imagine working in an old-economy environment.
- What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
I am a proud co-founder of two successful running restaurants in Hamburg, Germany. It all started with a crazy idea and quick decisions without being afraid of failing. No risk, no fun!
- Last word: a recommendation, an idea, a quote to live by?
The best way to prepare a bright tomorrow is to do your best today.
~ Thank you, Almir!
