MEET THE TEAM: DAISY-BLUE TINNE, GLOBAL ACCOUNT DIRECTOR

This week we had the pleasure of introducing Daisy-Blue Tinne, our Global Account Director based in London, UK. Read below to find out what is Daisy’s advice to new entrants into the world of affiliate marketing and more.

• Can you briefly introduce yourself and your current role & responsibilities?

As a Global Account Director, my role involves coordinating and implementing affiliate strategy, working with local Account Managers to ensure program success in multiple markets. I also lead Impact Squad, an internal team of Account Managers, Publisher Managers and Sales Managers, collaborating in the Lifestyle vertical – this structure allows us to share knowledge and gain experience specific to our partner’s needs.

• What do you like most about your job?

My job allows me to be an extension of my client’s marketing team, leveraging the affiliate channel to support their overall objectives and ensuring brand and promotional alignment. This is a fantastic opportunity for me to champion the affiliate industry and also learn about the wider marketing mix.

• What advice would you give to recent new entrants?

Ask questions – ask your peers, ask your managers, ask your partners. This industry holds a wealth of knowledge; it’s so young that there are those who have literally seen the industry emerge, so take that opportunity to gain as much insight as possible. Alongside this, stay on top of trends and innovations, use opportunities such as PI Live and the IAB to meet new people and stay up to date.

• What’s the most recent app you’ve downloaded but are yet to use?

I most recently signed up to the DriveNow car club, which comes with an app to locate and rent your car with. I’m looking forward to having a bit more independence from the Overground Network, and it’s regular delays/engineering work/cancellations…

• What’s your favourite blog?

My favourite is http://www.fashionmenow.co.uk/ – I like the mix of fashion, beauty, interior, travel & entertainment content, a true Lifestyle blog!
