Can you briefly introduce yourself and your current role & responsibilities?

I am a Finnish national and have lived in London for roughly 5 years now. I am the Strategic Publisher Manager at Webgains where I have been working for the past 3 years. My main focus is bringing on new publishers to the Webgains network with a particular focus on technology related publishers. I mainly act as an intermediary by facilitating these relationships so that advertisers and publishers can have the most mutually beneficial relationship possible through performance marketing.

What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?

On a typical day, I spend time auditing our network affiliate programs to identify gaps which could be filled by our key affiliates or sourcing new affiliates not already on our network. I help implement promotional strategies and best practices working with our technology affiliates for our clients but also help publishers make the most out of their potential.

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

Coffee & Breakfast.

How did you get into digital marketing?

By chance, it was the first full time job I had out of university working on the publisher side. It’s a great industry with a lot of potential so I have decided to stay.

If you could choose anyone, who would you choose as your mentor?

Albert Einstein – A genius that succeeded against all odds.

Last word: a recommendation, an idea, a quote to live by?

Elämä on – The Finnish version of c’est la vie.
