I’m Tim Mawson and I’m Head of Partnerships at Salesfire.

Nice to meet you Tim, can you tell us a bit more about Salesfire and its business values?

Salesfire was born of the need to replicate the experience of an in-store sales assistant online. Our aim is to provide the modern consumer with a surprisingly helpful, genuinely insightful and intelligently personalised online shopping experience, as well as helping eCommerce retailers utilise their website traffic, amplify their conversions and maximise their revenue.

We’re of the belief that the key to growing your retail business is placing a high value on a visitor’s time and bettering the service you provide in this important period – present the right information, in the right way, at the right time. To us, it’s that simple. And it’s exactly what we’ve worked tirelessly to innovate and optimise since our inception.

What would you say are the biggest benefits for an advertiser working with Salesfire?

Our suite of personalisation tools is proven to increase revenue and optimise conversion rates for eCommerce retailers, with over 1,500 users trusting us with ensuring they’re providing a personalised on-site experience to over 4 million customers a day.

With our intuitive exit intent technology, eCommerce retailers can capture shoppers who are attempting to leave their site and re-inject them back into the sales funnel. Tracking cursor movements, our Behavioural Overlays trigger to incentivise shoppers to remain on-site and complete their purchase with intelligently personalised messaging.

Re-engaging these customers enables eCommerce retailers to secure sales which otherwise would have been lost, boosting revenue and reducing basket abandonment.

Sounds great Tim, so regarding customers, can you tell us about your audience and what types of advertisers do you work best with?

Our system is optimised to work effectively for eCommerce sites in any industry. The versatility of our customisable Behavioural Overlays ensures that online retailers in all sectors can benefit from increased revenue and enhanced customer engagement.

Our software is easily integrated through a single line of HTML code, allowing us to work with a wide range of clients on any platform, from small UK boutiques to international retailers. To put it simply, if you have products for sale on your website, our Behavioural Overlays will work to increase your revenue and conversion rates.

What makes Salesfire an exciting company?

Every month at Salesfire is an exciting one. From partnering with eCommerce giants like Klarna to growing our staff count by another 66% by the end of 2020, the rapid rate of growth we have experienced in the last two years means every day presents us with new opportunities and projects. By no means do we intend to slow down. With plans to open multiple offices across the USA and Asia within the next 3 years and countless exciting product developments planned for the near future – we’re just getting started.

That’s amazing employee growth & we look forward to seeing your new product developments, have you got any more exciting plans coming up in the next 12 months?

We are consistently improving our technology and introducing new tools within our suite that can cater to a variety of eCommerce retailers to ensure we’re providing maximum value in our product.

We’re currently developing our AI-assisted Site Search. Complete with Voice Search and Image Search modules, Site Search enables customers to articulate exactly what they are looking for via text, image or voice, with accurate results returned within milliseconds. Underpinned by AI and machine learning, Site Search will return the best results in any search scenario to rapidly connect customers to the products they want, increasing engagement levels and boosting site revenue.

That all sounds really impressive, and we can’t wait to experience your new AI-assisted site search! So, following on from this, where do you think the Affiliate space is heading to in the next year and what would you say are the main market disruptions?

In terms of affiliate marketing, there have been a number of significant disruptors in recent months and years. Technology partners are coming out with some extremely innovative developments and I believe that the big disruption will come in the form of tech companies partnering up and developing new solutions and ideas to enhance affiliate programmes.

What is the most exciting time of year for you as a business?

With the surge in online orders and countless discounts, the Christmas shopping season, including Black Friday, is a very exciting time for the company and our clients, as strategic campaigns are implemented to maximise revenue. In anticipation of this period, each year we work to constantly evolve and optimise our tools to ensure eCommerce retailers make the most of the high volume of traffic visiting sites this time of the year.

Is there anything else you’d like our customers to know?

We understand that online retailers are currently attempting to navigate a challenging period in light of the current climate. To help eCommerce sites through this uncertain time, we are offering businesses within the Webgains network the use of our system for free for three months to help stabilise revenue and boost sales in this difficult period. With full access to the professional package, including Behavioural Overlays, Email Re-targeting and Prompts, we want to help merchants who are still trading make the most of their paid traffic efforts.

And finally, what is one fun fact about Salesfire that you can share with us?

Through our partnership with One Tree Planted, we plant a tree for each completed client demo. We have pledged to plant at least 1,500 trees by 2021 to raise awareness of sustainability and create a healthier world for future generations.
