As you may know, the GDPR is the new EU legislation effective since May 25th<\/span> 2018<\/span>. It improves a user\u2019s rights around personal data usage and<\/span> increases<\/span> transparency <\/span>from the<\/span> organisations handling that data. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Webgains position under <\/span>the <\/span>GDPR is as Data Processor. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

This means that we only process data on behalf of the Data Controller, in this case, the Advertiser who has concluded the customer transaction. It is the Advertiser\u2019s responsibility as Data Controller to safely manage the <\/span>consent<\/span> of customers referred by you, the Publisher.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Webgains<\/span> responsibility is in securely processing the transactional data<\/span>. This is t<\/span>o ensure that the Advertiser\u2019s <\/span>conversion<\/span>, and the referring Publisher<\/span>, <\/span>are recorded and that the <\/span>sales, commissions and overrides are effectively calculated and reported.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

We have produced clear Terms & Conditions, that reflect this position. They <\/span>have been<\/span> available online<\/span> since <\/span>March 2018, available to access and receive via the Webgains Publisher Platform<\/span>, and have<\/span> now<\/span> been added to the <\/span>My Documents area of your account.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

As these are Terms & Conditions of business, you do not need to \u2018accept\u2019 them <\/span>in order <\/span>for<\/span> them to take <\/span>e<\/span>ffect, or for you <\/span>to continue working with Webgains and <\/span>y<\/span>our Advertiser partners. You<\/span>r<\/span> contractual terms <\/span>also <\/span>d<\/span>o<\/span> not change in any way.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
