The Affiliate Account Director is a senior role within our team, responsible for leading the affiliate marketing strategies of high-value clients. This position blends strategic oversight with hands-on management, focusing on measurable performance, client retention, and long-term growth. Acting as a key member of the Account Management team, the Account Director provides expert guidance to both clients and partner agencies, developing tailored affiliate strategies that align with broader business KPIs.

Role responsibilities

  • arrowOversee the growth and strategic development of the agency account management team. Ensure high standards in client service, strong internal collaboration, and long-term satisfaction across all agency partnerships
  • arrowDeliver proactive, solutions-focused support to agency clients - escalating challenges where needed and always seeking ways to add value. Act as an advocate for both agency clients and publisher partners
  • arrowSet the strategic direction for the agency portfolio, developing and implementing growth plans to achieve and exceed monthly performance targets
  • arrowConduct regular performance reviews, such as Quarterly Performance Planning (QPMs), and maintain visibility and engagement through networking and industry event attendance
  • arrowCollaborate closely with the Sales team to identify key partnership opportunities, shape new business pitches, and present compelling case studies to agency senior decision-makers
  • arrowNegotiate high-value, bespoke opportunities for Webgains’ agency portfolio, ensuring strategic alignment and commercial impact across all activations
  • arrowTake overall responsibility for the commercial performance and profitability (P&L) of agency team accounts. Provide clear leadership and commercial oversight to account managers working within the agency structure
  • arrowDrive client acquisition and strategic distribution within the agency portfolio, identifying high-potential opportunities and ensuring appropriate team resource allocation
  • arrowSupport the continuous development of the account management team through structured training sessions, coaching, and hands-on leadership-ensuring high performance and client service excellence
  • arrowPrioritise the wellbeing, growth, and success of your team. Lead with empathy and clarity, maintaining a culture of accountability, support, and ongoing learning

Role requirements

Essential

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in affiliate account management
  • At least two years working with or within an agency environment

Desirable

  • Some experience managing people or mentoring junior team members
