What role does the Tech and Product Team play at Webgains?
DC: The Technology and Product Team is responsible for implementing the solutions that bring our Advertisers and Publishers together. We work in tandem with all departments at Webgains, to ensure we’re keeping our platforms stable and reliable, while also always aiming for improvements and innovation.

What motivates the Tech and Product Team?
DC: As a Tech Team, we are enthusiastic about technical designs and solutions. Meeting our goals to provide a great customer experience, while being able to innovate, keeps us learning and aiming higher every day.
As our business evolves, we like to make sure our Platforms evolve as well, to continuously improve their reliability, speed, and capability.
What is the biggest challenge your team faces?
DC: With the innovations and changes in browser technologies across multiple devices, Webgains is at its heart a SaaS solution with services that function on the internet and are thus governed to some degree by how people access us.

What makes our platform special from a technology perspective?
SR: Our platform benefits from the increased use of ML applications, allowing Advertisers greater control in smarter ways. These key ML tools are baked into the platform to allow Advertisers to reach more Publishers faster and through stronger connections, as well as monetise the connections in increasingly smarter ways.

How do you make decisions about product development?
SR: Webgains has a product roadmap that allows it to focus its development activities against a key list of outcomes, innovations, and priorities. These outcomes are aligned with our business objectives and strategy.
It’s an exciting time for affiliate marketing and Webgains at the moment. Tell us about some recent successes your department has experienced.
SR: We are at the forefront of embracing ML technologies; this allows us to do a lot more with our data than ever before, building solutions that reduce the work of the Advertiser. Key improvements to our feed solutions and tools such as Smart Commissioning give the Advertiser greater control through less work.
