Spotlight on… Love the Sales

Who are LovetheSales? is the world’s largest sales shopping platform. We aim to help shoppers save on the brands they want by bringing all the discounts across the web into one place.

Who is your target audience?

People who love the platform are smart shoppers. They want to find the best possible deal online and are searching for the most well-known brands in the world.

How was Love the Sales founded?

The idea stemmed from one of our founders and CMO, Stuart McClure. He started as a young dad trying to make ends meet and looking online for the best possible prices. However, he found the process of searching through dozens of different sites at a time quite exhausting. Thus the idea for an aggregator of sale and discounted products was born.

What kind of retailers would you like to work with?

For us at the moment we have quite a lot of retailers and brands from the fashion world (over 16000 brands), we do well with fashion and have quite a robust number of deals on the site. We would love to expand the number of electronics and tech products on the site. Big online retailers like Amazon and eBay have a vast range of electronics on their websites at great prices; it would be fantastic at some point to host some of their deals on Love the Sales.

How does the platform work?

We plug into affiliate networks like Webgains who give us access to advertise retailers’ products on our platform. From there we take the sale products on a retailers site and display them on Love the Sales. This allows shoppers to browse products from hundreds of retailers at once. For example, if you are searching for a Ralph Lauren polo shirt, Love the Sales will show you nearly every Ralph Lauren polo shirt currently being discounted across the web, giving you a choice to pick which deals you would prefer.

What makes LovetheSales different from other discount and sales sites?

In terms of products, we’re one of the largest discount aggregators out there. The primary function of an aggregator is having everything from the field in one place, and with the help of Webgains, we are adding the retailers onto the site to make this happen. Our User Experience Design team are some of the best in the business, and we think (and we hope you agree) we have a straightforward platform for navigating your way around the sales.
Our aim from the very beginning was to make the shopping experience a pleasurable one for the customer – just like what you would get from established retailers, such as Asos. This really sets us apart from other discount sites online which can feel a bit more cluttered and more of a pain to browse.

What are your plans for the next 12 months?

We have had huge success building innovative AI systems that can cope with aggregating a large number of products – which we will be building on and adding to different areas of the business. We are also aiming to raise another round of funding which will hopefully lead to reaching a much broader audience in the next 12 months.
