How to Install the Webgains Shopify Plugin
Integrate your affiliate programme in just two easy steps! See below our guide on how to install and integrate the plugin:
Step One
Search for ‘Webgains‘ within the Shopify App Store, and then click on the app named “Webgains Affiliate Marketing”. Alternatively, you can visit our app page directly here. Ensure you are logged in to your Shopify store and click “Add app“. You will be redirected to the app installation page where you can review the privacy and permission details. After checking these details, click ‘Install App’.
Step Two
Once the app is installed, you will be taken to the app configuration page. You can also access this page via the ‘Apps‘ area in the left-hand menu within your Shopify store. By entering your Programme ID and clicking ‘Save’, we will add the necessary conversion tracking to your Shopify pages. This is used to attribute sales to publishers that visit your store via Webgains.
You can also add an ‘Event ID’ to allow greater control over the commission set up in the Webgains platform (contact shopify_support@webgains.com for more details). If you do not enter an Event ID, your programme Default Event ID will be used.
Once you have entered your programme ID and/or Event ID, the Webgains tracking will successfully be installed into your Shopify store.
Please note: This plugin calculates the value of the sales with VAT and shipping deducted. If you would like a different configuration, please contact your integration manager.
