About the role …

As a Junior Account Manager, you’ll support a portfolio of self-managed agency clients, helping them grow their affiliate programs and strengthen publisher relationships. Key responsibilities include publisher recruitment and optimisation, onboarding, reporting, and platform training. As your experience grows, you’ll provide marketing expertise to drive performance, supporting both agencies and publishers with strategic planning and problem-solving. Strong communication, time management, and the ability to deliver results are essential. Affiliate network experience is helpful but not required, full training will be provided.

Role responsibilities

  • arrowManage a portfolio of Webgains clients and agencies, acting as the main point of contact for daily queries, technical issues, and commercial support.
  • arrowBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients and publishers through email, phone, and ticketing systems.
  • arrowMonitor account performance, identify gaps, and recommend improvements through analysis, competitor benchmarking, and targeted publisher recruitment.
  • arrowWork closely with the Publisher Team to drive program growth and test new opportunities on the Webgains network.
  • arrowSupport internal Account Managers with reporting, account reviews, newsletters, and recommendations.
  • arrowProvide training and guidance to clients and agencies on using the Webgains platform and optimising program performance.
  • arrowPromote affiliate opportunities and strategies to help clients and agencies grow their revenue.
  • arrowContinuously work to improve the financial and strategic success of self-managed affiliate programs.

Role requirements

Essential

  • Account management experience or client facing role
  • Demonstrate some understanding / research / experience of affiliate marketing & publisher recruitment
  • Advanced capability with Microsoft office products
  • Enthusiastic learner, seeking knowledge on internet economy and affiliate channel, competitor and subject matter best practice
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstratable experience of problem solving, using simple analysis to uncover issues with platform/program performance

Desirable

  • Degree level education with experience in web-based technologies, marketing and management
  • Fluent in another language (preferred Spanish, French, German or Italian)
  • Experience of analysing data sets from a wide variety of sources and drawing user and market actionable insights
